The Culinary Experience

The Mansouriya Palace Hotel specialises in traditional home-cooked Aleppine cuisine which combines the eclectic ingredients and traditions from centuries of influences: Arabic, Greek, Armenian, Turkish and Jewish.  

 

The main restaurant is beneath vaulted ceilings in the former cellar where there is still evidence of an ancient well. Historically, it was used to keep the food cool after it had been covered in salt or oil to preserve it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here, but the room can be hired for private parties or functions.

 

Lunch or any other dining is available at your convenience on the terrace or in the courtyard.  The menu is changed daily and ingredients are sourced from the local markets.  The chef would be delighted to take special requests and create bespoke dishes based on the local produce of that day.

 

Cookery television shows have been filmed in the renowned kitchens of The Mansouriya Palace Hotel and guests are welcome to receive cooking lessons or just observe the ancient traditions of Syrian cuisine in practice.
